The
Cambridge Insight Meditation Center ( CIMC ) was
established in 1985 as a nonprofit, nonresidential urban center
for the practice of insight meditation. Located in the heart
of Cambridge, CIMC provides an environment where the contemplative
life can be developed and protected amidst the complexities of
city living. We offer a place where people come together to learn,
support and deepen practice. (see Local
Maps.)
The guiding teachers are Narayan
Liebenson Grady, Larry Rosenberg, and Michael Liebenson Grady.
The administrative office
is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm. The office
staff can be contacted by phone or by stopping by the office.
(We do not accept email at this time.) |

CIMC provides an environment where the contemplative
life can be developed and protected amidst the complexities of city
living. People of all religious, non-religious, and philosophical
persuasions are welcome.
Membership is an important
source of ongoing financial support.
All of CIMC’s meditative programs and community events are available
to members and non-members alike; however members receive discounts
on practice groups, retreats,
and workshops, borrowing privileges
from the Dharma library,
and greater access to teachers for individual practice interviews.
If insight meditation is of value
to you, and you would like to support the Center’s work, please
consider becoming a member.
Community activities offer opportunities
to get to know other practitioners in a less formal environment
where talking is encouraged. These include community dinners,
gardening days, observances, and other gatherings.
CIMC is committed to making the Buddha’s teachings available
to everyone regardless of their financial circumstances. We
offer work
exchange and scholarships for meditation practice groups,
retreats and workshops. Contact
our office for more information.
For additional information about practicing at CIMC, please
see our Guidelines for
Participation.
