Becoming a member of CIMC is a way of expressing
a commitment to the Center and making a contribution to its
ongoing work. Members support CIMC, the teachings offered here, and the Center's administrative
and other services through their annual pledges. Without
this source of income, CIMC could not continue to exist as a
center for teaching and practice.
- Use of the Center during non-activity periods for individual practice
from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm (except on retreat and workshop days);
- Greater access to teachers for individual interviews on practice
issues;
- Borrowing privileges from the Center's
library of books, audio tapes and video tapes;
- Reduced fees for meditation practice groups, retreats, workshops,
and other offerings.
CIMC’s library is located on the 2nd floor.
It contains books from three major Buddhist schools (Theravadin, Zen,
and Tibetan), CDs, DVDs, and audio tapes of Dharma
talks, and a small collection of videos.
Anyone may use materials in the library, however
borrowing privileges are reserved for current members
of CIMC. If you are not a member and wish to use the library on a
weekday, please call the office and we will arrange to let you in. |
The fastest way to donate is through PayPal, by clicking the Donate button above and charging it to a major credit card.
You may also donate through Network for Good. |
The suggested annual pledge is
$300. However, we recognize that $300 is not appropriate for everyone: for some
it is too high, and for others too low. Therefore, we have included other options:
one is to pledge $420 annually and another is to pledge a different amount that
you feel is most appropriate for your income.
We provide financial aid in the form of work
exchanges and scholarships to all who request it. If you have questions
or concerns about payment, or if you would like financial aid, please contact
the office. |

For new members, we ask that you pay at least 3 months of your
pledge when you first join the Center. All membership pledge
contributions are tax deductible. | |
