25th Anniversary Appeal |

Dear Friend of CIMC:
As the CIMC community prepares to celebrate our 25th anniversary, we
feel incredibly grateful and somewhat amazed at how much things have
changed since we first opened our doors in the summer of 1985.
We’re blessed to have a beautiful home in which to practice together…a
vibrant Sangha committed to cultivating mindfulness, wisdom and
compassion… dedicated teachers to help show us the way…a full schedule
of classes, retreats, workshops, Dharma talks, and other events…and a
hard-working staff to manage such a busy and growing place.
Now, in order to
prepare for the next 25 years – and beyond – we need you to help. How?
By donating $25, in honor of
CIMC’s 25th anniversary, to help support the Endowment Campaign.
As you probably know, we recently established an Endowment Fund to help
us fulfill our mission. This Fund will enable us to continue serving
everyone who wishes to practice insight meditation, even those who
don’t have the means to pay. It will help us support our teachers and
staff, and maintain our building and grounds. Most important, it will
help us remain a refuge for all of us who want to deepen our
understanding and realization of the Buddha’s teachings – and alleviate
the suffering in our hearts and minds, in our families and communities,
and in the world at large.
So far, we’ve made significant progress. But we still have a long way
to go. So after much deliberation, our teachers and board of directors
have decided that we need to hire a fundraising professional for one
year, on a part-time basis, to serve as Endowment Director. This
individual will have extensive experience in the nonprofit world, and
will be dedicated to taking the CIMC Endowment Fund to the next level –
and helping us achieve our goal.
Just $25 from each of you! That will do it. Of course, if you can
contribute $250, $2500, or any other amount, that would be greatly
welcome, too.
Won’t you please make a

Director – and create an Endowment Fund that will serve our entire
community now and for generations to come?
